Longitudinal Patterns of Ethical Organisational Culture as a Context for Leaders’ Well-Being: Cumulative Effects Over 6 Years

Abstract The aim of this longitudinal study was to investigate the temporal dynamics ethical organisational culture and how it associates with well-being at work when potential changes in are measured over an extended period 6 years. We used a person-centred design, which allowed us detect both typical atypical patterns stability as well change among sample leaders. Based on latent profile analysis hierarchical linear modelling we found longitudinal, concurrent relations cumulative gain loss cycles between different leaders’ well-being. Leaders strongest pattern experienced highest level engagement decreasing dilemmas stress. who gave lowest ratings also decreased time reported dilemmas, stress, burnout. They showed continuous increase these negative outcomes time. Thus, has significant effects well-being, can be positive, depending strength culture’s ethicality.
